ROLAND GUMPERT · 12–13 SEPTEMBER 2026
Meet the engineering and rally legend in person — former head of Audi Sport during the Group B era, one of the key figures behind Quattro and creator of the Gumpert Apollo hypercar. Expect an exclusive discussion, autograph session and photo opportunity with Roland Gumpert.
It is a tremendous honour for Double Red Cars Museum and for Slovakia as a whole. If you love uncompromising speed and motorsport history, this visionary needs little introduction. He stands behind some of the most important milestones in international motorsport.
Who is Roland Gumpert and what did he achieve?
Architect of the Audi Quattro legend: As head of Audi Sport, he was there at the birth of the revolutionary Quattro all-wheel-drive system that fundamentally changed the world of rallying.
King of the Group B era: Under his leadership, Audi achieved 25 World Rally Championship victories and secured four world titles during the most brutal era in rally history. His success also extended to the legendary Paris–Dakar Rally.
Father of the uncompromising Gumpert Apollo hypercar: In 2004, he founded his own car company with the goal of creating a race car that was legal for public roads. The result was the brutal Apollo with a turbocharged V8, which recorded a 7:11.57 lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife and topped the Top Gear leaderboard for two years.
